The National level Programming Contest “Smart India Hackathon’17” conducted jointly by MHRD, UGC, and AICTE is being hosted by CVR College of Engineering, at Hyderabad, Telangana.PM Modi will be addressing the students on line across the country.
The Central Government has taken up schemes like ‘Make in India’ and ‘Digital India’ a technological movement, in which the students are the participants. This event is being conducted across 26 nodal centres spread across India. Based on the criteria required for this programme, various institutions in India put forth their request for hosting this mega event which will lead to technological advancements and innovations and empower the specially abled citizens too. The College has the privilege to be one among the 26 nodal centres selected in India and the only one in Telangana region.
The conference is a platform for students to explore their technical skills and develop software for meeting the requirements of specially abled people. CVR is hosting this mega event where students from various institutions across India will participate to showcase their skills and develop technological methods for the welfare of specially abled people, the blind and the deaf. The Central Government has provided grants for this purpose and the scholarships will be provided through transparent procedures for deserving candidates.
The programme will commence from on 1st April, 2017 and our Honorable Minister for Human Resources Development, Shri. Prakash Javedekar will inaugurate the event, ‘Smart India Hackathon’17’, through video conference across all the nodal centres in India. The programme will conclude at 8 p.m. on 2nd April, 2017. The winners of all the technical events will be awarded cash prizes allocated by the Central Government. This event provides students great opportunities to participate and develop their skills in the technological arena for the development of the nation.
