Suma Kanakala the popular anchor said that it was like tasting the mike. Suma was anchoring for the audio launch of Katamarayudu here in Hyderabad along with Comedian Ali. After the arrival of hero Pawan Kalyan with director Trivikram Srinivas,she was trying to call Pawan on to the dais and talk about him.
Pawan came in a dhoti and kurta for the launch function of Katamarayudu. The fans were excited and wanted Pawan talk but he was enjoying the song live from the music director Anup Rubens.
When she said hello, the mike did not function. Alis mike was Ok and it was working. At his junction anchor Suma was tired and said that it was not like testing the mike , but it looked as if she was tasting the mike. Ali could not control himself over the mike tasting comment of Suma and laughed looking at the fans in the auditorium.
Who knows in future the mike could be made in such a format that one can taste it and speak into it also,especially for great and senior anchors like Suma Kanakala. There was another anchor also along with Suma and Ali, but he was sidelined for some time and Suma talked about the mike testing and tasting.
But with Pawan Klayan and Trivikram Srinivas in the function no one bothered about the anchors. Even Ali was taken very light. Suma tried to dress like a young girl in a half saree, but it looked very odd.
