Has MIM joined hands with BJP? There are rumors in the political parties and also people that MIM leader Asaduddin was helping the BJP to win the elections by splitting the votes. They are questioning the attitude of contesting elections across the country where they are not strong and just dividing the vote, which is paving the way for the BJP victory.
AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh openly accused MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi of taking bribe from BJP president Amit Shah for splitting Muslim votes in the Uttar Pradesh elections.
Digvijay Singh said that he had information about Owaisi taking Rs 400 crore from Amit Shah in a secret meeting during Bihar polls and similar thing is happening now in Uttar Pradesh polls.”
“The MIM wants to field candidates in every election to split Muslim votes for the benefit of the BJP, Singh alleged.
He appealed to Muslims not to believe Owaisi anymore and appealed them to support the Congress, which has been protecting minority interests. MIM has been close to the party in the power in the state and also in the centre and get the things done.
Owaisi almost used to walk into the residence of Sonia Gandhi when congress was in power. Even in Telangana the MIM leaders are very close to KCR and TRS here. They are supporting the TRS in the Assembly like anything. Even KCR is very liberal with the MIM for the development of Minorities.
Now it is time for the MIM leaders to clear the allegations that they are contesting for the sake of BJP and dividing the votes. Otherwise the Muslims will have not faith in him in the near future. The MIM which did not cross the borders of Hyderabad is contesting in UP. A local leader said that MIM should first bother about the plight of Muslims in Old city and then bother about others across the country.
