Now it has to be seen how Modi will tackle the new President Trump. He has complimented and congrajulated Trump for his victory. At the same time Trump also wanted Indias support and he opined that the ties between the two countries must improve further.
The newly inaugurated US President Donald Trump will speak to Prime Minister Narendra Modi late on Tuesday as India’s hope the two nations will build on the “bedrock of strong Indo-US ties”.
Trump’s schedule, released by the White House, said the US President was scheduled to speak to Modi at 11.30pm IST.India is bracing for a “bigly” world order – to use Donald Trump’s trademark adjective for huge.
Nirupama Rao, a former Indian envoy to Washington, said: “India should not waste time in reaching out to Mr Trump and his team in order to establish a durable understanding that will take the relationship forwards in all sectors of relevance.”
