“We have officially announced Gautamiputra Satakarni on April 8, 2016 at Ugadi festival celebrations in Andhra Pradesh new capital city Amaravathi.
Later the film was officially launched in Hyderabad in the presence of dignitaries like Telangana CM KCR, Minister T Harish Rao, Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Raghavendra Rao, Dasari Narayana Rao and many other distinguished guests list.
Our first schedule was a tough grind in Morocco’s Atlas Studio and Varu Georges capturing the interval war scenes. Management of 1000 junior artists, 200 horses and camels used in this schedule was challenging. We wrapped the schedule in 14 days working 14 to 16 hours per day.
Rigorous second schedule began near Chilkur Balaji temple from May 30 comprised a massive naval battle. Elaborate setting of ships and vessels erected here are easily one of the biggest seen grandeur in Telugu cinema in recent times.
New third schedule kicked off in Georgia from July 4th capturing yet another mind blowing climax war sequence. Satavahana soldiers fight with Greeks in the hefty battle composed in scenic locations of Mount Kazbeg in Georgia, close to Russia border. 1000 soldiers, 300 horses and 20 chariots are to be used.
Fourth schedule began on August 29 in Madhya Pradesh till September 20 is a show of royal Satavahana saga with devotional Rajasuya Yagam, important scenes on lead cast and also a song.
Later on, minor patch works followed by entry of Shivaraj Kumar and canning a song in Brinda Master Choreography were all memorable experiences. Neetu Lulla’s styling is a scintillating work.
In parallel, there was lot of appreciation for Gautamiputra Satakarni first looks posters and promotional teaser crossing 3 Million views, first ever for a senior Telugu cinema super star. In this sojourn, we also had the privilege of meeting legendary Singer SP Balasubramaniam garu for recording a song with his nectar voice.
Finally, we have entered the last day at shooting yesterday in between Balakrishna, Hema Malini and Shriya Saran and broke the pumpkin.
Making of Gautamiputra Satakarni is not a simple mechanical journey. We had numerous unforgettable moments to cherish for life long.
Balakrishna’s commitment cannot be put in words. He stood like the pillar supporting our team inspiring us on every step. We are honoured to have worked with such a great star, who is in fact a simple human being. This visual grandeur could not have been possible without the support and dedication from entire team.
On this emotionally rewarding occasion, I would like to thank and congratulate every member of Gautamiputra Satakarni team, from light boy or office boy to director Krish and hero Balakrishna for their distinctive hard work and superlative support.
Media friends always served a backbone in fulfilling our endeavours by reporting every detail and update of Gautamiputra Satakarni reach Fans and common audience. Their dynamism at dispersing the information encouraged us on every step.
Without hardcore Balakrishna Fan base and cinema loving audience, Gautamiputra Satakarni isn’t possible. They are real motivation force behind Krish, Balayya Babu to work in best of their strengths.
Beyond all, distributors and buyers from all areas in India and abroad are an underpinning energy in completing the production earlier by one day in just 79 days. We promise you to deliver a top quality visual feast with post production teams working round the clock to deliver the output enabling us for January second week release,” producers said.
