Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) here to inaugurate the conclave of DGPs of all the states of the country.
Modi will be in the city on November 25 and 26 and he will be staying on the NPA premises, according to officials.
Modi will inaugurate the three-day conclave of DGPs across the country and will discuss issues ranging from terrorism to cyber crime. The conclave will held from November 25-27.
Ahead of Modi’s visit, officials of the National Security Guards (NSG) arrived in Hyderabad on Saturday and had discussions with state police officials. NSG officials gave suggestions to NPA officials and the state police with regard to security measures in view of the Prime Minister’s visit.
According to official sources, he will be in the conference for the first two days and may not take part in any other programmes. However, Telangana Chief Minister K Chadnrasekhat Rao , local BJP leaders and few others are likely to meet him.
Union Minister for Labor Bandaru Dattatreaya will meet the Pm Modi lalong with he newly married daughter and family members to seek his blessings it is reported.
It is the annual conference of Directors-General of Police. All DGs of all states will attend. Apart from Prime Minister, Union Home Minister and the two Ministers of State for Home are also coming
The conference will focus on issues such as terrorism and cyber-crime, the officer said. The conference was held at Rann of Kutch in Gujarat last year. There will be discussions about the flow of illegal currency into the country from Pakistan.
