In India party for politicians is a common feature. There are no restrictions. One can see the political leaders dancing with the item numbers and seeking votes. There are times where politicians danced and distributed currency over the stage for popularity and votes. Some times they dance during festivals like Holi, Ganesh Chaturthi, Bonalu etc.

But the latest is that a Chinese city has banned members of the ruling Communist Party from visiting clubs as it imposed a strict moral code on its officials in the sweeping anti-corruption campaign launched by President Xi Jinping which has netted thousands of officials including top cadres.

The eastern Chinese city of Nanchang has clamped the ban on the Communist Party of China (CPC) members from visiting clubs. Disciplinary authorities of Nanchang, capital of Jiangxi Province, said that they will investigate all private clubs and similar venues by the end of August and ask the club owners to set up visitors’ records, an official statement said.

The central government issued a code of conduct in 2012 to reduce bureaucracy and boost ties with the public, but the city’s inspection commission said that some party members still attended members-only venues.

Such activities have a bad influence on CPC members and “violate” rules, according to the commission.
