It will be a 5 hour programme for the PM Modi in Hyderabad. Except the people indicated in the programme others will not be allowed. The SPG will not include people in the 11nth hour.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the 1,200 MW (2×600) thermal power plant at Jaipur in Adilabad district, set up by the Singareni Collieries Company Limited, during his visit to the state on Sunday.
He will also lay foundation stone for NTPC’s 1600 MW Super Thermal Power Station and another for the construction of the Manoharabad-Kothapalli railway line connecting Hyderabad and Karimnagar, at Gajwel.
Singareni Collieries is the only coal company in southern India in the power generation sector. The two 600 MW plants have completed the process of boiler light-up and synchronisation and are ready for power generation.
The tariff is likely to be cheaper than the rate at which TS discoms are purchasing power from private producers. “SC-CL is proud to be participating in transforming the state into Bangaru Telangana,” said SCCL chairman N. Sridhar.
NTPC’s 1,600 MW Super Thermal Power Project (Phase I) is being set up at Ramagundam. NTPC will build the project in two phases — 2 x 800MW in the Phase I and 3×800 MW in Phase II. The AP Reorganisation Act 2014 mandates that NTPC will establish a 4000-MW power facility for Telangana.
Mr Modi will lay the foundation for the 150-km Rs 1,160-crore Manoh-arabad-Kothapalli railway line. It will connect Hyderabad with Karim-nagar for the first time by rail.
About 88 km of the route would be in Medak district and 59 km in Karimnagar district, and 4 km passing through Warangal district. It will have 13 stations enroute in addition to Manoharabad and Kothapalli.
The new stations are Nacharam, Iranagaram, Gajwel, Kodakandla, La-kdaram, Duddeda, Siddi-pet, Gurralagondi, Chin-na Lingapur, Sircilla, Vemulavada, Boinpally and Wedira. It will provide a viable alternative route between Secun-derabad and New Delhi.
Mr Modi is also expected to inaugurate a few other projects and schemes before he leaves for the BJP maha sammelan at the LB stadium in Hyderabad.He is expected to fly back to New Delhi after the Hyderabad event in the evening from Begumpet.
