The founder of Infosys Narayana Murthy and his wife Sudha Murthy are known to be philanthropists. Sudha Murthy has donated Rs 10 crore to about 800 members of the Jawans who died for the sake of the country. It is for the families of Jawans who fought for us and sacrificed their lives. It is a great gesture on the part of Mrs Narayna Murthy.
Earlier they have donated Rs 40 crore for building an operation theatre complex at the Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology in Bengaluru. They will also give a further Rs 8 crore towards the construction of another block and Rs 2 crore for renovating an existing block.
Sudha Murthy as stated, “Our goal is to serve the needy and we will assist Kidwai with its efforts. The treatment and care provided by the institution gives cancer patients a better life.” She was speaking at a function to lay the foundation stone for the new Dharamshala Block.
She also opined that she does not need any media coverage and she wants to help the needy and that for the people and families who are working for the security of the Nation.
