Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy said that Tiruppavai is the essence of the Vedas and that the Pasurams are God’s own words.
Under the auspices of TTD Alwar Divya Prabandha Project, the inaugural meeting of Tiruppavai Pravachanam was held at Annamacharya Kalamandiram, Tirupati on Monday evening.
On this occasion, the Junior Pontiff of Tirumala delivered the Anugraha Bhashanam.
He said Andal Sri Goda Devi one among the 12 Alwars who spread the glory of Srivaru through Pasuras. Goda Devi, the only female divine poetess praised God with unique devotion.
He said that if you recite Tiruppavai during Dhanur Masam, sins will be destroyed and desires will be fulfilled.
On this occasion the book ‘Analytical Study of Music of Tiruppavai Pasurams’ written by renowned Vocalist Smt. Dwaram VJ Lakshmi was released by Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy.
In connection with Dhanurmasam, from 17th December to 14th January 2025, Sanskrit scholar Sri Chakravarthy Ranganathan will explain the essence of each pasuram every day between 7am and 8 am at Annamacharya Kalamandiram while Smt Dwaram Lakshmi will render the Pasuram melodiously.
