The hype created by Kanguva was very high, but despite all the hoopla, Amaravan is going strong. Everyone expected Amaran to slow down with Kanguva’s release, but shockingly, the Suriya starrer received negative reviews all over. Due to this, Amaran has once again become the top choice for filmgoers.
The biopic had a fantastic third weekend by registering phenomenal occupancies.
Amaran is on the verge of crossing Rs. 300 crores gross, a stupendous feat that was achieved only by few Tamil heroes. The movie is a blockbuster in Telugu too. Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, Amaran is jointly produced by Kamal Haasan, R Mahendran, and Vivek Krishnan.
No one expected Amaran to perform in this manner. But the box office is ringing with cash and Amaran is doing well. Kamal is a happy man as Vikram gave him everything and Amaran is giving him best results.
Kanguva was produced at a higher cost but is giving slow business.
