The Court gives the MLAs who crossed over to other political parties some time. The speaker was given a deadline to set the things right and respond to the complaints of the leaders from other political parties.
Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy directed the Secretary, TG legislative Assembly to place before the Speaker all the 3 Disqualification Petitions for fixing schedule, filing of pleadings, documents and personal hearing etc.
The Secretary, TG SLA will also file a status report on the Schedule of the Speaker before the Registrar Judicial, High Court within 4 weeks. If the Speaker does not fix a schedule for hearing the Disqualification petitions, then the Court will re-open the Cases and appropriate orders will be passed. Justice Reddy pronounced orders in the petitions filed by BRS MLAs KP Vivekananda and Padi Kaushik Reddy,who requested the Court to direct the Speaker to disqualify the three defected MLAs.
The BJP Floor Leader also filed a petition seeking Danam Nagender’s disqualification. The court had earlier reserved orders in three petitions and pronounced them on Monday.
