Sri Tulasi Mahatyam festival will be celebrated on August 16 at Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple in Tirupati.
On Shravana Shuddha Dwadasi, special programs will be organized in thetemple to commemorate the occasion of the emergence of Tulsi.
As part of this, from 7.30 am to 9 am Sri Govindaraja Swamy atop the Garuda Vahana bless the devotees along the four mada streets of the temple.
After that, from 9 am to 10 am, Swamivari Asthanam will be held.
In this the priests recite Tulasi Mahatyam Puranam. After that,Theertha Prasadams will be given to the devotees.Large number of women pilgrims are expected to participate in this festival along with
families here at the Govindraja Swamy Temple.
