The Ankurarpana fete for the annual Pavitrotsavams will be held in SriKodandarama Swamy temple in Tirupati on July 30.
The three-day Pavitrotsavams will begin with Pavitra Pratista on July 31 followed by Pavitra Samarpana and Pavitra Purnahuti on the remaining days respectively.
Grihastas can participate on payment of Rs.500 per ticket on which two persons will be allowed.
The temple tank, Swamy Pushkarini will be closed from August 1 to 31 for a period of one month to take up cleaning and renovation works.
It is customary to take up repairs, and cleaning works of the Pushkarini, before the ensuing annual Brahmotsavams every year.
The entire water will be bailed out and certain works including removal of sludge, cleaning of steps, conveyance of debris, painting of pipes, repairing damaged points if any will be taken up.
Till the completion of works, the Pushkarini remains closed.
