Chandrababu the CM of AP succeeded in convincing the Central government to lay a road from Amaravathi to Hyderabad to reduce the distance to the extent possible.
He wants the Hyderabad people to reach Amaravathi at the earliest possible for the ease of doing business. He wants to develop Amaravathi on par with Hyderabad.
The Center has approved a 60-70 km six-lane greenfield expressway to provide an alternative route between Amaravati and Hyderabad, reducing the current distance.
This new expressway will bring significant changes in the next two to three years. The 189 km ORR will traverse the joint Krishna and Guntur districts under the jurisdiction of CRDA.
While the real estate is slowly coming down in Hyderabad and Telangana, people are looking at Amaravathi. A River front is being planned on either side of Krishna river in Amaravathi.
