Sumita Dawra,Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. Of India, arrived in
Hyderabad to attend the interaction on Employment,Labour Reforms hosted by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII),Telangana and Employers’ Federation of India (EFI) . Official representatives attended the interactive session from Union Labour Ministry, State Labour Ministry, Industry representatives (members of CII),EPFO and ESIC, etc.

This interactive session aimed to provide a comprehensive overview on Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) reforms, Labour & Employment Reforms, crucial labour and employment issues, and exploring avenues for industry collaboration with the Government wherein holistic solutions could be envisaged in the form of policy, procedural and technological interventions.

The session focused on three thematic areas: Interaction on Ease of Doing Business – Labour &Employment Reforms; Industry Interaction with Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) &Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO); Interaction on National Career Services Portal (NCS) Portal and India Skills Report.

The attendees eagerly participated during the Question and Answer sessions on various Labour Laws and Reforms like new Labour Code, Ease of Doing Business initiatives of EPFO and ESIC and National Career Service, etc.

Labour Secretary was equally involved in the deliberations and noted down certain suggestions for examination at appropriate level by the Govt. of India. She expressed her satisfaction on both participation as well as conduct of the event and was of the view that such events may be held in various parts of the country at regular intervals.
