There is no adequate supply of beer in the wine shops in Hyderabad and other districts of Telangana. One of the main reasons is that there is no adequate supply of water to the beer manufacturers in general.
Generally the beer liquor consumption has been high in the Telugu states. Now because of the elections the sale of Beer has gone up.
Beer sales is high in summer and with the parliament elections going the political parties are buying huge quantities for the distribution to the voters.
Several factors have contributed to the current situation where there is a less supply of beer than the demand. The bores have failed as the groundwater is depleting by the day.
Businessmen and liquor outlet owners from Hyderabad have requested the State government to take necessary steps to see there is a continuous supply of beer as per the demand.
There are also rumours that hoarding of liquor is going on for the coming elections.
