While Kavitha the BRS MLC was taken into custody, Kejriwal the Delhi CM was granted bail.

A Delhi court on Saturday granted bail to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in two complaints filed by the Enforcement Directorate against him for skipping summons in a money laundering case linked to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam.

The same evening Kavitha was taken into custody by the ED and she is being produced before the magistrate today. Kavitha also filed a case in the Supreme Court against the ED for not following the Court’s directions.

There is a talk that Kavitha was arrested to show that BRS and BJP are not hand in glove. The Congress has been making statements that BRS and BJP are supporting each other to take on the Congress party.

The BJP leaders are also of the opinion that they would have won some more seats if Kavitha arrest was done during the Assembly elections.

One way this is good for the BRS as they will gain sympathy. The BRS was losing the steam as leaders were shifting to the Congress in a phased manner.

Now the arrest of Kavitha has come in handy for the party cadres and they are agitating across Telangana. The scene has shifted to Delhi now.
