CM Revanth Reddy wants to woo the film industry. Earlier also KCR the former CM gave a free hand to the film industry. But they need more support especially to save the theatres.

Many theatres have been closed and it is becoming difficult to get theatres for the small producers in particular. Producers, exhibitors, and distributors have been craving for industry status for the Telugu film industry for quite a long time, “Industry status could fetch us bank loans at lower interest and power charges would be cut to Rs 3 per unit from Rs 7,” it is reported.

During the pandemic, single theatres were run for almost two years with negligible footfalls but they were asked to pay Rs 20,000 to 40,000 per theatre and its reduction or exemption will also be included in the wish list.

The Idea of the industry is to get corporate status for the film industry in particular so that they can get loans from the banks at the lower interest. Now they are taking finances from the Filmi finances which charge more towards the industry.

On the other hand, the heroes must also come down on the remuneration front. The heroes and the directors are taking remuneration as they like and there is no limit to it.
