This time it will be very tough for Asaduddin Owaisi from Hyderabad. The Congress is in power in Telangana and the BJP has consolidated the Hindu vote with Ayodhya Temple.
The Congress will not field a dummy and the BRS is nowhere. This makes all the difference for Owaisi in the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat. All the time with an understanding Congress used to field a dummy candidate against Owaisi.
But this time both the Congress and BJP are very aggressive and this makes the situation very tough for the AIMIM. The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) will contest from the two Lok Sabha seats it holds in the general elections —Hyderabad and Aurangabad (Maharashtra) — as well as in Kishangunj (Bihar), party president Asaduddin Owaisi said .
While Owaisi will be seeking re-election from Hyderabad for the fifth time to the Lok Sabha, in Aurangabad, the MIM will be seeking to repeat its victory in 2019 when the party’s Imtiyaz Jaleel was elected. In Bihar’s Kishanganj, the AIMIM came third in the 2019 polls with Congress winning the seat but hopes that this time it can win from there.
The outgoing Lok Sabha is the first for AIMIM to have two members in the House and the party is seeking to add one more when elections are held in the coming few months.
The consolidation of the Hindu vote in the name of Ram Mandir makes all the difference for the AIMIM. The Congress and the BJP candidates might also come together in the end to defeat the MIM in Hyderabad to create a sensation.
Owaisi has started a dry run in the constituency by visiting hotels and eating the food with his followers just to show that he is with the masses.
The MIM is also using social media extensively. The Muslims this time drifted towards the Congress and they voted Revanth to power in Telangana.
The BJP is planning to field a lady with Rich background against Owaisi this time it is reported.
