For the first time since the formation of Telangana, KCR is stepping into the Telangana assembly as an opposition leader and took the oath as Gajwel MLA in the assembly today.
He was escorted by Joginapally Santosh Kumar the RS member from his house to Assembly.
Earlier, KCR couldn’t take the oath along with other MLAs as he had a slip-and-fall incident and was subsequently treated for it.
KCR reached the assembly at around 12 PM tomorrow and took his oath-taking ceremony at 12:45 PM. He took oath as the MLA and also the opposition leader of the Telangana assembly.
It is interesting to note that the Telangana assembly will witness Revanth Reddy and KCR’s roles reversed with the Congress chief operating as the CM and the BRS chief taking the opposition leader position.
After Revanth Reddy lost the 2018 assembly elections from Kodangal, he wasn’t seen in the assembly as he later won as an MP from Malkajgiri and went to the parliament.
So technically after 6 years, the Telangana assembly will see the face-off between Revanth and KCR.
