The BJP government has conferred India’s second-highest civilian award Padma Vibhushan to former vice president Venkaiah Naidu, actors Vyjayantimala Bali and Konidela Chiranjeevi, social worker Bindeshwar Pathak (posthumous) and Bharat Natyam dancer Padma Subrahmanyam.Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the winners.
Actor Mithun Chakraborty will receive the Padma Bhushan, the country’s third-highest award.

Renowned art patron and philanthropist Kiran Nadar and Indian squash star Joshna Chinappa will receive the Padma Shri, India’s third-highest civilian award.
M Fathima Beevi (Posthumous), Sitaram Jindal, Ram Naik, Pyarelal Sharma, Usha Uthup, Vijaykanth (posthumous) are among those who got the Padma Bhushan.
Foxconn Chairman Young Liu from Taiwan is also among the Padma awardees.
“Congratulations to all those who have been conferred the Padma Awards. India cherishes their contribution across diverse sectors. May they continue to inspire people with their exceptional work,” he wrote.
