In connection with the Sankranti festivities, Bhogi Teru and Makarasankranti festivals will be held on January 14 and January 15 respectively at Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple in Tirupati.
On January 14, on the day of Bhogi festival, from 5.30 pm to 7 pm, a procession of Sri Andal Ammavaru and Sri Krishna Swamy will be carried out.
Sankranti Tirumanjanam will be performed in the morning on the auspicious occasion of Makara Sankranti on January 15.
At 6.30 a.m. from the temple, the Chakratalwar is taken out on a procession to Sri Alwar Theertha in Kapilatheertham.
Between 5.30 pm and 7 pm Sridevi and Bhudevi together with Sri Govindaraja Swamy will parade along Mada streets.In connection with the Makara Sankranti festival on January 15, the TTD Trust Board Chairman Sri Bhumana Karunakara Reddy and EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy have extended Sankranti Greetings to Srivari devotees.
