In view of Dhanur masa festivities between December 17 and January 14,2024, the Tiruppavai Parayanams will be observed at Sri Pedda Jeeyarswamy Mutt in Tirumala.
For the entire month, the Tiruppavai Pashuras Parayanams will be chanted at the Sri Sri Periya Koil Appan Sri Shatagopa Ramanuja Pedda Jeeyar Swami Mutt between 7am and 8am. The same will be live telecast by the SVBC channel.
The Pedda Jeeyar Swamy Mutt was established at Tirumala during the Bhagavad Sri Ramanujacharya period who founded the Vishistadvaita philosophy. The Nitya Kainkaryas as propounded by Sri Ramanujacharya were in vogue and followed to date.
Likewise, Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy a descendant of Sri Ramanujacharya traditions is continuing the Kainkaryas, Sevas and utsavas. TTD will observe the 25-day Adhyayanotsavams from December 12 to January 5, 2024 at Ranganayakula Mandapam in Tirumala temple.
During this period Divyaprabandha Pasura Parayanam will be rendered. It usually starts 11 days before Vaikuntha Ekadasi in Dhanurmasam in Srivari temple.
Whereas, the first 11 days are called Pagalpattu and the remaining 10 days are called Rapattu. On the 22nd day Kanninun Shiruthambu, on the 23rd day Ramanuja Nutrandadi, on the 24th day Sri Varahaswamivari Sattumora and on the 25th day the festival concludes.
