AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi has taken oath as the Protem Speaker of the Telangana Assembly. Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan administered the oath of office to Owaisi at Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad on Saturday.
There is a talk in political circles that the MIM MLAs will sooner or later support the ruling Congress party on various issues in the name of development.
They will cooperate with the Government in the name of developing Muslims and the old city. The CM Revanth Reddy is also wooing the MIM so that they will have more support in the process of Governance.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is believed to have spoken to AICC general secretary KC Venugopal before the allocation of portfolios to the ministers.
The BJP stayed away from the swearing-in ceremony, while former Speaker Pocharam Srinivas, Harish Rao, and Gutta Sukhender Reddy of the BRS attended the program. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was also present.
