Rajya Sabha MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar, who has been promoting the Green India Challenge for the last few years, planted saplings as part of his birthday celebrations.
But this time the BRS is not in the Government and lost to Congress. Santosh is a BRS MP and always strived for the welfare of the poor and the needy.
The MLAs and others appreciated the efforts of Santosh Kumar for initiating and taking forward Green India Challenge. The Rajya Sabha MP urged everyone to take forward this novel initiative.
Launched in 2018, the Green India Challenge has seen participation by many leading politicians, celebrities, bureaucrats, and eminent people from various walks of life.
It was inspired by the novel initiative ‘Haritha Haram programme’ of Chief Minister, K Chandrashekhar Rao to promote and make people aware about the significance of planting trees and its overall impact on the environment.
