The fifth edition of Akhanda Ayodyakanda Parayanam will take place at Nadaneerajanam platform in Tirumala on December 5 between 7am and 9am.
A total of 186 shlokas from chapters 14-17 will be recited by Vedic pundits and devotees.
The programme will be telecasted live on SVBC for the sake of global devotees.All the five major dams in Tirumala are full to their capacities with the incessant rains from the past four days.
Papavinasanam, Akasaganga, Gogarbham, Kumaradhara and Pasupudhara are the chief water sources in Tirumala. Water is also drawn from Kalyani Dam in Tirupati. About 100 mm of rainfall has been recorded in Tirumala in just 24hours.
In view of Karthika Vanabhojanam, Snapana Tirumanjanam was held at Vaibhavotsava Mandapam in Tirumala on Sunday to the Utsava deities.
Usually, TTD observes Vanabhojanam in the auspicious month of Karthika at Paruveta Mandapam. But in the wake of cyclone alerts, it shifted the venue this year to Vaibhavotsava Mandapam in front of Tirumala temple.
After Snapanam, Anna prasadams were distributed to devotees.
