IIM Shillong announced the commencement of the 6th edition of the Business Leadership Summit (BLS) 2023. The summit was inaugurated by Shri Dinesh Kumar Khara, Chairman of the State Bank of India (SBI), who engaged with students virtually, delivering a compelling keynote address. Mr. Khara highlighted the advancements in the Global South, emphasizing the significance of data, artificial intelligence (AI) integration, and India's digital leap, particularly through the Aadhaar initiative.
The two-day Annual event, themed Evolving Horizons of Global South:Navigating the Confluence of Technology, Talent, and Transformation in Indian Context," aims to bring together 30 CXOs from various industries
across the country. The summit provides a platform for industry leaders and students to discuss and learn about various aspects of the corporate world, with a focus on India's leading role in the evolving global landscape.
Following the BLS 2023, IIM Shillong will host the 14th Season of the "Learning on the Green Turf" – The Golf Tournament starting from November 18th, 2023, at the Shillong Golf Course. This season's Golf Cup, marking the 14th edition, is partnered with the Tourism Department, Government of Meghalaya and supported by OIL India Ltd. The integration of golf tournaments for corporate leaders is a unique blend of leadership, strategy,and decision-making.
