The annual Karthika Brahmotavams in Tiruchanoor commenced on a grand religious note with the ceremonious Dhwajarohanam.
TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy speaking on the occasion said, that every year, the annual festival is observed with grandeur in Tiruchanoor. He said, special arrangements are being made for Gaja Vahanam, Panchami Theertham. He complimented the Garden Deputy Director Sri Srinivasulu for making colourful arrangements in the Friday Gardens to match the occasion.
Hindu Maha Sabha Trust Chairman Sri DL Vasanta Kumar presented six umbrellas to Tiruchanoor temple on the occasion.
JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, DyEO Sri Govindarajan, VGO Sri Bali Reddy, Agama Advisor Sri Srinivasacharyulu, Kankana Bhattar Sri Manikantha Swamy, Archaka Sri Babu Swamy, Sri Vempalli Srinu Swamy, others were present.
The annual Pushpayagam will be observed in Tirumala temple on November 19 with Ankurarpanam on November 18.
It is usually observed after annual brahmotsavams in the advent of Sravana Nakshatra, the birth star of Sri Venkateswara in the holy month of Karthika.
