Narayana Murthy is a Tech Giant and a great advisor there is no doubt about it. His advice to put in more hours of work in a week is also OK.

But Murthy must also think about the payments that the companies are making. He must consider on the night shifts that the IT employees are working and spoiling their health with no proper food and sleep.

People are becoming fat, dark, and losing eyesight apart from the sperm count. Who will compensate for all this loss and who will further bother about the extra hours of work?

Murthy must also suggest that companies and their owners pay well to the employees and also take care of their health.

Their should be proper reimbursement for the health bills also to the employees. He must know that some are running away from the jobs and doing agriculture. Some are selling chai-paani.

The 70-hour workweek advice has stirred up a controversy in the Indian professional sphere with many professionals from various fields taking a stand against it.

However, endorsing Murthy’s advice, the lawyer-politician said that several public representatives like him work 12-15 hours a day without taking a day off.

Narayana Murthy had sparked a huge debate online last month when he pitched the idea of a 70-hour workweek. In a statement made during a podcast hosted by former Infosys CFO Mohandas Pai, Murthy said “India’s work productivity is one of the lowest in the world.

Unless we improve our work productivity, we will not be able to compete with those countries that have made tremendous progress. So, therefore, my request is that our youngsters must say ‘this is my country. I’d like to work 70 hours a week.”

Murthys belly is full and he can work for any number of hours.
