Controversial astrologer Venu Swamy has suggested that KCR the BRS Chief must do the Rajashymla Yagam to appease the gods for a BRS win in the coming elections.
The Yagam is being performed by the Veda Pandits of Sree Sarada Peetham of Visakhapatnam. Chandrashekar Rao is doing a 3-day Rajashyamala Maha Yagam from today at his farmhouse in Erravelli.
More than 250 Vedic pundits from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka are taking part in the yagam.
KCR the CM is performing the yagam to seek divine blessings to secure a consecutive third term for the BRS government and also for him as the CM.
A yagashala has been built where 108 fire pits have been dug to perform yagam. The religious ritual assumes much significance as the wind is blowing against the BRS.
The Pooja started with Ganapathi puja this morning and will end on Friday with Poornahuti.
It may be recalled that KCR performed Raja Shyamala Yagam at his farmhouse in November 2018 prior to Assembly polls in December 2018 and retained power for the second time.
Now KCR is aiming for a hatrick.
