While the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is still scouting for ‘eligible’ candidates to be fielded in 119 constituencies, the Congress is taking its own sweet time in the pre-candidate selection process.
This was being done despite an appeal from ticket aspirants to announce the list of candidates at the earliest so that they could launch their campaigns.
The BRS has started off the blocks well ahead of others. The CM KCR has announced the list of the candidates and they are already campaigning in the constituencies.
The BRS is in the first position to win the elections and it is followed by the Congress party. The BJP is last and nowhere in the race.
Most of the BJP leaders are contestants and they dont have people to monitor the situation. MLAs and leaders from other states who dont understand Telangana is in the field and it will not make much of a difference for the party.
KTR and KCR will pound the constituencies in a phased manner and ensure the victory of the BRS. KTR will begin the campaign and then KCR will wind it up.
But both the Congress and BJP are yet to get the right candidates. There is some demand for the Congress party tickets, but the BJP may not get the right candidates for all the seats in Telangana.
Bandi Sanjay who was doing well in Telangana is in Andhra Pradesh now. Congress is in trouble with internal bickering.
This makes the situation easy for the BRS to win the election along with the MIM.
