Yet another train Mishap. Fire gutted down at least five bogies of the Howrah-bound Falaknuma super fast express near Bhongir today.
The cause of the fire is not known as yet. The inquiry is going on.
Fire broke out in one of the bogies and soon spread to other bogies. Alerted by the passengers, the pilot stopped the train, after which passengers deboarded the train.
No one died or got injured in the fire mishap.
Eight fire tenders from Yadadri district and Hyderabad were rushed to the spot. Along with fire personnel, Rachakonda Police, special parties, Railway Protection Force, Railway police and Yadadri Disaster Response Force teams also joined the rescue operation.
All the damaged bogies are reservation compartments. All passengers in the bogies managed to deboard the train safely. Some of them have lost their luggage in the mishap.
While Railway police and RPF have launched a joint probe into the incident, the cause of the fire is not yet identified.
