Financial Empowerment of Women SHGs

a. 1,71,968 SHGs formed with 17,41,218urban poor women in all Urban Local Bodies.Facilitating bank linkages to SHGsfor delivering financial services in a sustainable mannerand to promote diversified livelihoods to augment the income of urban poor and empowerment of women.

b. Rs. 2693.78 Crsof Bank linkage provided to women SHGs from 2004 to 2014.c. After formation of Telangana, from 2014 to 2022 Rs. 14,453.48Crs of bank linkage provided to 1.33 lakhs women SHGs with 13.86 lakh members.

d. Separate mobile app “Pattana Pragathi – Survey of Street Vendors” was developed and identified 5,40,344 Street vendors (645.83% increase) in addition to existing 83,666 SVs during Pattana Pragathi and total 6,24,010 Street Vendors in the state (4.26% of total Urban Population).

e. Rs.700.61Crs of loans are provided to 3,57,270 Street Vendors in 1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd tranche after formation of Telangana.

f.2,676 street vending sheds sanctioned, 1294 sheds constructed and 1382 are under progress.

Awards In last nine years, the government changed the face of Telangana’s urban landscape with the landmark initiative Pattana Pragathi and this has resulted in bagging various National level awards.

1. Under Safaimitra suraksha challenge in 2021, State was awarded as Second Best Performing State

2.Karimnagar won 2 nd best performing ULB under 1-3 lakh pop category along with Rs 4Crores cash award.

3. 12 awards under Swachh Survekshan & Safaimitra Suraksha Challenge in 2021 for the ULBs of Telangana

4. 26 awards under Swachh Survekshan-22 and Indian Sanitation League in 2022 for the
ULBs of Telangana.

5.Telangana State Urban Local Bodies ranks 1 st in the country in 1 st , 2 nd & 3 rd Tranche loans
to Street Vendors in the population category of Less than 1 Lakh& 1 to 10 Lakh ULBs.
