There is a buzz in Telangana that many BJP leaders are looking at the Congress party and many are talking to the PCC Chief Revanth Reddy.
“No newcomer is joining the BJP. We are not growing. We don’t have candidates in most constituencies,” said a state BJP leader. The Big Issue with the BJP is that only a few leaders are taken into confidence by the Delhi leaders.
There is a talk that many leaders may leave the party as there is a talk that the Congress would do better than the BJP here in Telangana.
Ironically, the big beneficiary of this turn of the tide would be the Congress, which would be happy to welcome both the currently unattached leaders Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Juppally Krishna Rao, but also those from the BJP dissent group.
“Everyone who is attached to the values of Congress and is committed to opposing the misrule of BRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is welcome to our party,” said Revanth Reddy.
Only a few pockets in the state of Telangana are looking at the BJP.
The old-timers are not amused by the dissent. Dr Laxman has his own set of followers, while Kishan Reddy has a different group. Bandi Sanjay and Arvind have differences.
Rajasingh has his own style of working. Raghunandan Rao thinks he is CM material and trained by KCR and still likes KCR. There is no other prominent leader and no Modi wave also as such.
In this scenario the BJP can forget on forming the Government in Telangana.
