CS review on Kanti Velugu

Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari held a Video Conference with District Collectors today and reviewed the progress achieved in Kantivelugu and aarogya mahila programmes. The issues relating to paddy procurement, implementation of GOs 58,and 59, oil palm cultivation, examinations to be conducted by the TSPSC, and supply of fertilizers were also reviewed in the video conference.

Chief Secretary asked the district collectors to regularly visit the Kanti Velugu and Aarogya Mahila camps and suggest measures to strengthen the service delivery to the utmost satisfaction of the public. She observed that as these health initiatives have mass interface, there is scope for improvement and thus officials should engage in enhancing the service delivery system.

On paddy procurement, CS directed that all procurement centers shall be fully functional and payment shall be made to farmers on time. The collectors were also told to complete the enumeration of crop loss caused due to the unseasonal rains in the months of March and April.

CS wanted the balance pattas pertaining to GO58 be distributed in the next couple of days, while the distribution of conveyance deeds in respect of GO59 to be taken up on a mission mode and completed by the 15 th of this month.

Chief Secretary asked the collectors to suggest innovative methods to propagate oil palm cultivation in the state. As the plantation will start in the next forty days, she directed them to review at the district level to kick start the process. She noted that as the saplings are available, this year target can easily be surpassed.

Chief Secretary asked the collectors to ensure that there is adequate supply of all types of fertilizers such as DAP, Urea etc in the district. She wanted the collectors to review the receipt of the stock and also take steps to transfer the stock to the retail godowns.
