Chief Minister Sri K Chandrashekhar Rao made it clear that the State Government respects the literary and cultural traditions of people of all other states and regions who settled in Hyderabad for decades.
CM KCR said the government is continuing its efforts to preserve the way of life of Hyderabad, which is a symbol of Ganga Jamuna Tahezib, with different communities residing.
CM KCR decided to restore the Sahitya Vedika in Hyderabad for Kannadigas. The Chief Minister took this decision on the request of Amberpet MLA Kaleru Venkatesh and Karnataka residents living in Hyderabad as well as across the state. CM KCR sanctioned Rs 5 crore for the renovation of ‘Karnataka Sahitya Mandira’ in Kachiguda in Hyderabad. The Chief Minister ordered the local MLA and officials to take action in this regard. CM KCR suggested Venkatesh to develop infrastructure and design the auditorium at Shaitya Mandira so that it can be used for community needs along with literary and cultural programmes.
MLA Kaleru Venkatesh met CM KCR in Pragati Bhavan and thanked the Chief Minister for sanctioning Rs 5 crores on his request.
