Mickey is a good music director and he has done well in the movie Mahanati. But he has been replaced by Santosh Narayanan of Dasara fame for the project K by Nag Ashwin.
The songs, composed by Santhosh Narayanan, might work well when seen in the film as a part of the narrative, but as standalone songs, both songs are not doing any good to the film as of now. If the songs would have worked then it would have taken the film’s hype to next level.
Only one song is popular in Dasara. The other songs are also good but they are not that good when heard outside. Now Narayan is working for project K.
Mickey has done some work and songs also for the Prabhas starrer. But we have to see how far they will be retained in the movie. There is also a talk that the makers of Dasara also trying to replace some songs.
Who will replace Narayan for Dasara has to be seen. The dhoom dham song in Dasara is exceptionally good. There are instances where songs and music have made all the difference to the movies.
Vyjayanthi movies always give all the importance to the songs. For example the background music for SVSC was done by Manisharma and songs were done by Mickey.
Mickey could not provide the right background. Now in the same fashion, Mickey was replaced by Santosh for project K.
