Ramakrishna Theertha Mukkoti and Pournami Garuda Seva will be observed on Sunday, February 5 on the auspicious day of Magha Pournami.
Among the 3crore odd theertham in the Seshachala ranges, the seven important torrents, Swamy Pushkarini, Akasa Ganga, Papavinasanam, Tumburu, Kumaradhara, Pandava and Ramakrishna Theertham are considered the most significant.
The Ramakrishna Theertham is located 6miles from Tirumala temple. The temple staff perform special pujas to the idols of Sri Rama and Sri Krishna located in the torrent and return to the temple.
GARUDA SEVA: Sri Malayappa Swamy will take a special ride on the finely decked Garuda Vahanam along the four mada streets between 7pm and 9pm to bless His devotees on the evening of February 5 at Tirumala.
TTD JEO Sri Veerabrahmam released the posters of annual brahmotsavams of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy in Srinivasa Mangapuram which is scheduled between February 11 to 19 with Ankurarpanam on February 10.
The event took place at his chambers’ in TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati on Thursday. He said all the arrangements for the big festival are underway and the important days includes Dhwajarohanam on February 11, Garuda Seva on February 15, Golden Chariot on February 16, Radhotsavam on February 18 and Chakrasnanam on February 19.
