Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman has listed out the priorities in the budget for the coming year. She gave a huge priority to agriculture in a big way apart from the cooperative sector.

1. Free food scheme will continue till 2024.
2. Economic growth is projected at 7 percent.
3. Strong impetus to growth and employment.
4. Insurance cover to 44.6 crore to citizens.
5. Agriculture accelerator fund for rural areas.
6. Global hub for millets as largest exports.
7. Focus on green job opportunities.
8. Country-wide mapping of cooperatives.
9. National Library for Children and adolescents.
10. 157 new Nursing colleges will be set up across the country.
11. Big boost to research in the health sector.
12.79000 crore for PM Awas Yojana outlay.
13. Capital outlay for investment increased.
14. 2.4 lakh crore is the railway budget.
15. Pan identity for all digital transactions.
16. 3 centers of excellence for Artificial intelligence.
17. 75000 crore for transport projects.
18. 50 Airports to be revived.
19. Lab grown diamonds to reduce imports.
20. 100 labs to develop 5G applications.
