The Fire officers did their best in the rescue operation stated Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav. He was talking to the media after inspecting the Deccan mall here in Secunderabad.
The Basti people around the building who were evacuated were given all the assistance he said. If any buildings around get damaged in the process of the demolition of the building will get all the help from the Government he assured.
Around 10 thousand tonnes of material is still lying in the five stories building he said after the inspection. Three members are said to be still in the building.
So far no bodies have been identified he explained. The media is giving all sorts of unconfirmed reports he pointed out. The godowns should not be in the residential areas he said.
With no fire NOCs the godowns will not be allowed any further he warned. Yesterday Kishan Reddy the MP of Secunderabad talked against the local Government he stated.
Kishan should not talk in a vague, manner he suggested. But he should talk like a responsible man and should not create panic in the public the Minister requested.
More than 25000 old and illegal buildings in Hyderabad he pointed out. A special drive will be done and such buildings will be identified he said. The building will be demolished in a controlled manner with the latest technology he assured.
Meanwhile, the smoke is still coming out of the building. Foam is being sprayed to stop the fire even after 48 hours.
