TTD Board members and chairman Subba reddy say that they are working for the betterment of darshan and amenities for the common man in Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam.
But the reality is completely different. All Seva tickets and Darshan tickets are available through various sources in the Black on the hill shrine. There is no proper sanitation in the accommodation being provided to the common man.
You can see Pigs going around on the streets of TTD eating garbage. In some cottages, only one blanket is there for the two beds. The staff giving cottages are collecting fines for overstaying but not giving any receipts for the fines collected.
The staff at the JEO office are very rude and they don’t bother or answer the pilgrims. Pilgrims with recommendations and payment are given proper responses and good darshan.
All others are just ignored. The free food has no taste and all things are served and feel as if they are diluted versions. There are no Laddu counters after the Suprabhata Seva.
Proper supervision and maintenance are lacking. There is no Kum Kum that is vermilion the containers provided they are empty. Earlier no one was allowed without wearing a tilak.
Now very few of them are using tilak. Water glass bottles are an issue and they are not safe to carry. Free prasadam being given inside the temple is not that tasty.
TTD can also run Tiffen and meals at a lower price. The Coffee board canteen by the Central Government is good. There is widespread talk that the TTD is going to dogs.
Subba Reddy term is going to end and Bhumana Reddy will come into position. He is a pucca Jagan man and may not do anything better than Subba Reddy.
The Bhakti is coming down and commercial values are going up on the TTD. The electric bus services are good. All the sevas must be available on the online system.
The decision-making should be made then and there on darshan. Going to JEO, then waiting for a message and then going MBC is not right. One full day is being wasted for getting one good darshan the next day.
It is better to confirm the Darshan after getting the message of Recommendation by the board office on TTD. They can send the ticket on whatapp where the pilgrims take the print and enter the temple.
The interface between the pilgrim and TTD staff should be reduced to reduce the corrupt practices.
