Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari presided over the state level consultative committee meeting on economic related cyber crimes at BRKR Bhavan today. During the meeting issues relating to non banking financial matters, economic frauds, real estate, chit fund, deposits mobilisations and cases filed by the public in the courts on financial transactions were reviewed.
Chief Secretary underlined the need for coordinated effort on the part of RBI and Police officials to prevent economic related cyber crimes. She stated that there is a need to create awareness among the public in view of the rise in crimes relating to non banking loan apps. She directed that the police officials should immediately take action whenever crime relating to economic offences are registered.
RBI Regional Director Nikhila, General Manager Ruchi Asthana, Home Principal Secretary Jitender, CID DG Mahesh Bhagwat CIG Rahul Bojja, Special Secretary Finance Ronald Rose, Additional Registrar Cooperative Sumitra and other officials attended.
