Despite taking many steps, the TTD board is unable to manage crowds . Accommodation is a big issue for the pilgrims. The pilgrims are made to run from pillar to post for accommodation and also the darshan.

The facilities are not increasing on par with the incomes. Now the TTD is going for the gold plating to the Gopuram on the sanctum sanctorium.

The incomes of the two cities are vastly different. The TTD receives an estimated $1.5 billion annually from income generated from tourism, religious pilgrimages, and other sources.

Vatican City, on the other hand, has an estimated annual income of around $325 million.

The number of pilgrims to the two cities are also very different. Each year, millions of pilgrims come to TTD to take part in special rituals and ceremonies, while the number of pilgrims visiting Vatican City is much lower, estimated at around 8 million a year.

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is one of the most well-known Hindu temples in the world, located in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh in India. The TTD is responsible for the management and maintenance of the Sri Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala, as well as other temples in the surrounding area.

In recent years, the TTD has been making a number of improvements and developments to enhance the spiritual experience of its pilgrims. These developments include the expansion of the Sri Venkateswara Temple complex, the introduction of the e-hundi system for donations, and the construction of a new temple in Tirupati.

The TTD has also implemented the use of RFID technology for crowd management and is working to improve the efficiency of its administrative and operational processes.

Additionally, the TTD has launched a smartphone application that provides information on temple timings, services, and other updates.
