Can we believe these figures? Many say that the IT declarations and the election affidavits are for namesake. The reality is different.

As per the election affidavit, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has Rs 373.8 crore assets whereas Mamata Banerjee’s assets are Rs 15 lakh.

The assets of Jagan Mohan Reddy included both hereditary assets as well as self-earned assets.

Former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu declared property worth ₹20.44 crore in the affidavit submitted with the nomination papers filed on his behalf for the Kuppam Assembly constituency in the Chittoor district.

The total value of his movable and immovable assets stands at Rs 226.1 million now as against Rs 159.5 million declared in 2014, according to Rao’s affidavit. That is around 22 crore.

The other chief minister with assets above Rs 100 crore is Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu, who is at number 2. His total assets are Rs 132 crore.

Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik is at third place as he owned assets of Rs 63.72 crore.

Puducherry CM N Rangaswamy is the fourth richest CM of the country. His total assets are Rs 37 crore 24 lakh. While Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio is the fifth richest CM of the country.

His total assets are Rs 28 crore 14 lakh. Telangana Chief Minister KCR assets are Rs 13.72 crore as per his election affidavit. Are these real figures or just for the sake of declaration has to be seen.
