Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother, Heeraben Modi, passed away at the age of 100 in the wee hours of Friday. She was admitted to the local Hospital after her health deteriorated and was later discharged.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, PM Modi wrote, “A glorious century rests at the feet of God.”
Sharing her picture, the prime minister wrote, “In Maa I have always felt that trinity, which contains the journey of an ascetic, the symbol of a selfless Karmayogi and a life committed to values.”
Ben died at 3.30 in the morning it is reported. After the funeral, the PM will attend his official routine via video conference. Very little security was seen at the house of Heeraben.
PM himself was seen carrying the body of his mother along with others to the Van. He also boarded the van and was sitting by the side of his mothers body.
