Top comedian and Character actor of 30 years industry fame Prithvi is in soup over his alleged harrassment of his wife. It is reported that the police have registered a cheating and harassment case against famous this popular Tollywood comedian Balireddy Prithviraj on a complaint from his alleged wife. However, she later submitted a petition to withdraw the case.
In her complaint, K. Kavitha, a native of East Godavari district, stated that a few years ago she had met one Mr Anil, her sister’s friend, who had been trying for roles as a junior artiste in Hyderabad. He had promised her a job and had introduced her to Prithviraj.
In 2010, Anil and Prithviraj had interviewed her in the latter’s office and since then she had been working in his office. She alleged that Prithviraj had lured her with luxuries and they had got married in a temple.
Though she had two children from her first marriage, Prithviraj had said that he would take care of them as his own children and had enrolled joined them in a school. She and her children were put up in a rented flat in Banjara Hills.
Meanwhile, she came to know of Prithviraj’s affair with another woman.
“When I questioned him about the illegal affair, he said that he would do as he pleased. He also took away Rs 2 lakhCASHhttp://cdncache-a.akamaihd.net/items/it/img/arrow-10×10.png and gold ornaments and threatened to kill me and my kids if I complained to anyone,” she stated in the complaint.
Police registered a case under Sections 420 for cheating and 498A for harassment. However, Ms Kavitha later submitted a petition with the police to withdraw the case.
“Her petition was also submitted in court. Based on the court’s directions, we will proceed,” said Banjara Hills SI K. Krishnaiah. Earlier another comedian Venu Madhav was also booked by the police for allegedly harrasing his wife. Now Venu Madhav is free and is not getting any roles.
