The ritual of prelude, Ankurarpana or Beejavapanam was held in Tiruchanoor temple .
The legends say, the sowing of seeds in mud pots under the moonlight and the germination of these seeds to full bloom implies the hassle-free conduct of the Navahnika Karthika Brahmotsavams.
On the other hand Laksha Kumkumarchana was held with religious fervor in Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple in Tirupati on Saturday. After awakening the presiding deity with Suprabhatam, Sahasranamarchana was performed.
Later the Utsava murthy of Goddess Padmavathi Devi was brought to Sri Krishna Mukha Mandapam.

This event was held at Vaibhavotsava Mandapam.
The TTD board members have contributed Rs. 64lakhs to felicitate this strong workforce who did impeccable services. Besides, Smt Vemireddi Prasanthi Reddy, LAC Chief of New Delhi has donated Rs. 40lakhs towards vastra Bahumanam to all these employees.
