Kamal Hassan and Director Mani Ratnam are relatives. They have worked on one movie called Nayakan which was a super duper hit.
Tentatively titled KH234, Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan have teamed up for a film after 35 years. Mani Ratnam has worked with Kamal Haasan for only one film ‘Nayakan’ but the classic 1987 action drama is still fresh in the minds of the audience.
Interestingly, Kamal Haasan shared this big news a day ahead of his birthday.
Sharing the news on Twitter, the Vikram star wrote, “Here we go again! #KH234.” AR Rahman will score music for Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam’s film.
The 234 movies will be backed by the Madras Talkies, Red Giant Movies, and Udhayanidhi Stalin. Vikram was a super duper hit and Mani wants to encash on this popularity.
Kamal’s brothers’ daughter Suhasini is married to Mani Ratnam and that is the relationship. The movie Nayakudu that they did has the shades of Godfather original and it was a Pan India hit in those days.
