A documentary on filmmaker SS Rajamouli is in the works, as per reports. The documentary, which pays an ode to the filmmaker and traces his journey and the laurels that he has brought to our industry, went on floors this week in Hyderabad it is reported.
Rajamouli is currently working on a film with Mahesh Babu and it is in the preproduction stage.
According to the latest report on a TV, a documentary on the maverick filmmaker Rajamouli may be on the cards.
A source close to Rajamoui revealed that the documentary went on to the floors recently in Hyderabad, and Rajamouli has also been part of the jam-packed schedule. The shoot will be continued for the next few months it is reported.
Rajamouli joined as an assistant with director K. Raghavendra Rao and worked for Santi Nivasam, a teleserial. However, his seniors Vara Mullapudi and Yeleti Chandrasekhar used to get more importance than he did. Consequently, worked harder, which earned him the ‘working devil’ title from K. Raghavendra Rao.
He is known for directing fantasy works such as Magadheera (2009), Eega (2012) and Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) which became the highest grossing Indian film within India, the 2nd highest-grossing Indian film globally, the first South Indian film to gross over ₹650 crore worldwide, the first non-Hindi film to gross over ₹100 crore in the dubbed Hindi version, and the highest grossing Telugu film of all time.
Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Conclusion set a record collection of ₹5 billion before the release of the film through satellite and theatrical rights and movie released worldwide on April 28th, 2017 in theatres.
